Free to general public, children and members of King and Queen County Historical Society.
Donations are appreciated.
Fridays and Saturdays 10 am–4 pm. Sundays 1–5 pm. Closed on Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, mid-December to mid-February, and then on Fridays and Sundays the remainder of February.

From Richmond and Tappahannock area, take Route 360 to St. Stephens Church, east on Route 14 approximately 20 miles to King and Queen Court House, Va.
From Norfolk and Urbanna area, take Route 33 to Shacklefords, west on Route 14 approximately 18 miles to King and Queen Court House, Va.

Parking is free. Cars and buses can be parked next to the Tavern Museum building or across the street.
The ground floor of the Museum is handicapped accessible. Bathroom facilities on the ground floor are also equipped for handicapped. There are stair glides to the second and third floors to provide access to both upper floors. All of the Touch Screen tours are available to the handicapped on the monitor on the first floor.
