The Courthouse Tavern Museum is now open with new hours

– Fridays from April 29 through December 2, 10am – 2pm.
– Saturdays from June 4 through September 3, 10am – 2pm.
– By appointment with 5 business days notice.

From Richmond and Tappahannock area, take Route 360 to St. Stephens Church, east on Route 14 approximately 20 miles to King and Queen Court House, Va.

From Norfolk and Urbanna area, take Route 33 to Shacklefords, west on Route 14 approximately 18 miles to King and Queen Court House, Va.

Parking

Parking is free. Cars and buses can be parked next to the Tavern Museum building or across the street.

Handicapped Accessibility

The ground floor of the Museum is handicapped accessible. Bathroom facilities on the ground floor are also equipped for handicapped. There are stair glides to the second and third floors to provide access to both upper floors.
